| We used to hardboil the eggs (which are white shelled as they dye better), then dye them and decorate the eggs. We would put in our Easter baskets and leave outside our bedroom door for the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny would then take all the eggs and hide them and replace the eggs with sweeties in the basket, which we would find at the end of our beds in the morning. Then we would have to go find all the eggs that were hidden in various places about the house and garden. Of course, eating the hard boiled eggs wasn't as yummy as the basketfull of sweets! |

Just found this thread, love working with fimo. To make these you need to roll out lots of sausage shapes, with different colours inside the rolls, then cut them across to get lozenge shapes, which are pieces to together like a jig saw. I work in an art and craft shop and we have leaflets to give away with the fimo about different techniques and this is one of them, not thought of using it on eggs though, will give it a try. |

How do you stick the pieces together without blurring the pattern tho? Whenever I've tried to use Fimo I've had to sort of squish the pieces together and it ends up looking rubbish
I've never tried anything like those eggs tho, they're very clever |

| the colours don't mix easily, as you cut through the sausage each slice will vary but the colours should stay true. |
