smallholder/livestock courses on the Western Isles, I keep hearing these mentioned on threads.
Where would I find out what courses are being held, where and how much in cost?
I know when I get up there I am gonna have to refresh my memory Wink on some stuff, and deal with other stuff that I have little to no practical experience of Embarassed . So some hands on courses could be very useful. Smile
Thanks

Teresa

i normally tell everyone Rolling Eyes ,i'm sad and spend a lot of time in the crofters Embarassed ,they have told me they are setting up a bed in the corner ,but it is on the way home from work Rolling Eyes ,where they are usally advertised ,i've done a lot of the ones that are going ,i also think it helps to get to know who's got what and what skills Wink ,normally between 10 and 30 pounds, there are not that many and not normally practical although a very good butchery course i want to do next year that was 30,last one was in a cafe and hector our vet said they where not to keen on us bring a dead calf in to practise on ,it sounds disgusting but you cannot hurt it ,we did practise on dead lambs ,it does help to brush up on rules and regs ,also 2 day course on poultry ,the rest of it normally people welcome people to have a look so not really needed, would you lot agree Confused

Will need a pig course before embarking on walking rotovators, rules and regs different and stricter for pigs.
So its learn about goats/pigs from Suz, and sheep from Debcat, Wink anyone for dual purpose moo cows Question
