I have posted my new Speckeldy so here now is my new Marans Cuivrée! I hope you like her! She is called Georgina and the Speckeldy is called Priscilla!


Off to inspect the coop and hopefully have some lessons in egg laying! Very Happy

and here she is with Priscilla!

Just to be correct....it is cuivrée with an 'i' in it. Cuivre is copper in French and Cuivré(e) is copper coloured (a feminine object has an extra e) Wink

It is pronounced "Kwee-vray".

Lovely hens BTW!!

This is a photo of Georgina with Priscilla the Speckeldy hen!


This would have shown her colouring off well but guess what? She Moved!!!!!




These two are still staying together quite a bit but are beginnin to mix well with the others!

Are these a different breed to copper marans like these?



And this is the colour of egg they produce (Not the coq Embarassed Razz ). It is with a weird shaped CLB egg.
