or this
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) would like to hear from anyone - who has not already been contacted - who purchased from or supplied to Chelford Market, Cheshire on 7 May, or any poultry keeper who visited Chelford Market on that day whose birds have subsequently become ill.
They are asked to contact their local Animal Health Office or the Defra helpline 08459 33 55 77. Lines are open between 0900 BST - 1700 BST seven days a week. |

| It's also lucky that it's a sparsely populated bit of Wales. I know it very well as Ma lived just outside the 1km exclusion zone. |

sorry was waiting for someone else to answer
i think there is 14 main groups they then are divided into smaller groups
so main groups i think are h7 ect and then its sub divided into the next bit
n2 ect ,different flu's effect different animals ,there are horse flu's ect
then the genetic seqencing changes slightly the further it moves ,same as human flu ,this one is unluckly to do you any harm if you catch it ,tends to give you a slight cold and a bit of conjuctivities in fact you wouldnt probably reliese it ,the danger is is you go to see other peoples birds or handle your own ,
probably totally wrong ,but it's how i understand it
i feel so sorry for anyone who gets caught up in this it could happen to anyone ,and people will be looking for someone to blame , |

Just popping in quickly (*waves frantically at everyone*)
Myself and a friend run neighbouring Freecycle groups that cover Shropshire and north Wales and we get quite a lot of poultry-related ads.
Should we restrict them for the time being, do you think?
My friend's group borders the affected area and it's likely that we've both got members living in or near to it (I've got 2,200 members so can't check exactly!).
Sorry for popping in and out, I'm utterly snowed under at the mo and relying entirely on Clucky to pass on any interesting snippets of news
Love to all,
Fenn xxx |

and now for the good news
quote from news wales
On Saturday there were fears of a second possible case at a farm on the outskirts of Pwllheli on the Llyn Peninsula. But it has now been confirmed that poultry tests were negative. |
