We've just planted a Cercidiphyllum - can't wait until it's a big as your's! Our Amelanchier, Fothergilla and Euonymous alatus are all looking gorgeous at the moment as well - but I think the strong winds forecast this weekend will put pay to that.

Nics pics!

they are nerine bowdenii........common name Guernsey lilys.
they are actually a south african bulb, but are totally hardy here............and I'm 500ft up in a bad frost pocket.........i just put some bracken fronds over them when they finish flowering.............they are a plant that gets better every year, and flower best when the clumps are congested............prefer full sun, and a fairly well drained soil ideally (mine are in a heavy clay, but i tried to add as much compost as i could to open it up a bit)...........flower from sept through till november and bit later depending on the winter, and are great cut flower too. flower
