Have to say I love minorca and if anyone is willing (or knows anyone that would be) to attempt posting eggs to Sweden I'd love to hear from you

Picked up three very nice Minorca pullets yesterday to go with the two hens I already had. Introduced them to my Black Hamburgh X Minorca cockerel. Two or three years time hope to have a strain of rose comb Minorcas which seem to have died out.

So, seven months on!
Twenty six chicks hatched and only four of them rosecomb. Top guy from Australia informs me that though half should be rosecomb, the sperm carrying the rosecomb gene are less viable and often get beaten in the race to fertilise the egg. So this time keep the females and mate to a single comb male then I will get half of each.
I live and learn!!! Sad

I keep written records, but these guys hatched over night & all of them refused to tell me which egg they came out of.
