We were watching a food program last night where a free range farmer had introduced a few small footballs into the area where he reared his chickens..The appeared to be enjoying playing with it , I think I think I'll introduce on to my girls see how they get on , anyone else tried this ?....Who want to challenge me to a 5 a side ??

Didn't they have ones for pigs too? Was it on Jimmy's farm, or River Cottage? Something like that...

Unfortunately I'll have to give the 5-a-side challenge a miss (only got 4 Laughing )

You could be the fifth Lisa, if you like ~ if your girls are desparate to have a go at the game.

Don't think Pekins play footy - my neighbours Staffy spends hours every day solemnly dropping his football at the bantams' feet, but somehow they haven't ever got the hang of playing with it. They just look at him as if he's loopy and potter off, so he picks it up again, follows them and drops it at their feet... he's been trying to get them to play for months!

Well, you could try drilling a hole in the football, adding some corn and then see if they'll be interested Wink

Perhaps one of those plastic tennis ball sized balls but with holes in might be more interestingn to them

Sadly, Summayah, after months of being lugged around by a hopeful Staffy, the football IS now tennis-ball sized and full of holes...
