Very nice kirky, but what's the secret in keeping the grass so green? Must be because there's no chickens there - can't see any in the pics!
Our first coop was built out of pallets too, but we have converted our shed into a coop now, as we have so many more chooks. (& no grass! )

| hi chicken palace, the secret to the grass is behind the large house the ground slopes downhill to an area which has no grass the leaves from the tree land there and the hens only scratch around down there and also this sounds mad but works i sweep the grass with a large broom and collect the poo every few weeks. The reason you cant see the hens is that they are down the hill in photos.Look closely at top pic back right beside grey feeder you can see cockerels comb and bottom pic my shetlands head is sticking above the small house.cheers kirky |

And they're banties I think! My banties had grass in their run until my two hybrids arrived and trashed the place in a couple of days! I think I'll stick with bantams in future |

Hi Kirky
You've found where everyone is now too
I see the empire has expanded! I managed to stick a bit more perch in my house to take in another two hens but I envy you that fab set up... |
