It's Barnevelders, not Barnvelders. Common mistake though.

Bugs me as much as Winedottes, Road Island Reds, Orphingtons, Pecans, Coaching, Light Succex, Lite sussex, Anconias...

Means one has to do multiple searches for topics, images, ads, ebay eggs etc. Mad

Any chance under the "breeds list", it could mention all the breeds which are 'hybrids' as opposed to 'pure' breeds. I know some do say hybrid but others do not. Thanks.

I'd love to know what breed my chickens are. When I bought them at the produce store the man said that they are just laying hens bread specially for laying and not an actual breed. They are redish brownish all over. Is this correct? Are they not really a breed?

Probably a hybrid, Aussie - a first crossing of two different breeds. Often one will be Rhode Island Red, but others on here will be more up on the different breeds used for hybridisation.
