Wasn't sure where to put this so hope this is OK.
Hubby and I both used to enjoy (what Tesco called) spatchcock chicken, a whole one each with a salad or half each for a roast dinner.
Does anyone know if there is a particular breed needed for these and at what age are they usually killed? |

| Spatchcock is a method of preparing a bird to cook, as CP said, I do it for BBQ I suspect the word you are looking for is Pouissin (spelling) as in young bird |

| Sorry, probably didn't make myself clear, I know what a spatchcock is and how to cook it etc,. I just wanted to know if there was a particular breed that was more suitable. |
