Any idea what breed this cock is or what breeds he might be made up of?

Very striking. Very Happy . That colour, ie red and white, is known in the Fancy as Pyle. But in addition he appears to have a laced breast and a single comb and red lobes.
Pyle is a relatively uncommon colour in chickens but happens in Pyle Leghorns, Pyle Dutch and Pyle Friesians. The other parent would need to be a bird with some sort of lacing and also single combed in all probability. Or noting the rudimentary crest maybe even some Silkie influence!!!

Thanks for the replies. He isn't actually mine but his daughter (or niece) is sitting eight eggs about 6 foot up in a conifer tree where all the dead stuff has collected and has made a nice little nest. I'm going to try and get her and the chicks when they hatch and put them somewhere safer. She's half his breed and her mother was a silkie.

The flock can also fly very well (they are called 'the pigeons' on the allotment and sleep very high up in conifers every night). I think this cock's mother and sister have a kind of brown leghorn colouring if that helps. The only other cock left in this flock apart from this one was bred last year and is half this breed and half a big rhode island red cross but is still small and flies well. If these chicks hatch they are going to be some mix!

Here's a video of them and a few pictures of my boys.

Oh my, lucky girl with two big strong boys fighting over her! Wink Does it ever get really 'nasty'? I have an Australorp cockerel and a Silkie Cockerel and would like to have them both in the garden free ranging if at all possible, but I don't know if I dare try it! The Australorp is a newbie and has never been out of his run yet (he has 2 'wives' with him), but the silkie is displaying and generally annoying the Australorp even without him being on the loose! ;-( I can't see me having the courage to let them both loose together, I really can't - I'm a coward of the first order! LoL

No, she'll be a cross between this cock or his brother and a white silkie hen.

Hi Sandra, on the allotment I'm on everybody has a few cocks together in the same flock and even cocks from separate flocks mixing sometimes with little trouble. I have three in my flock and they get on well. The welsummer came in as a youngster and he's actually still below 2 or 3 hens and the bantam and cream legbar cock. The cream legbar actually seems to like him being around and although he doesn't like him treading the hens (especially certain ones it seems) he takes it out on the hens more and seems reluctant to attack him, and he definitely isn't scared of him. The CL doesn't like the bantam cock though but that might have something to do with him coming in as an adult and challenging him.

If you're wanting to keep two or more cocks it's best either bringing them up together as youngsters or bringing a young cock in to an older one. There might still be small fights but normally not as serious as introducing two adults, especially if they are equally matched.

The hen that was sitting in the conifer tree hatched 5 chicks out. They were 4 weeks old on Monday.
