Are they white peafowl or Indian?

White peafowl chicks are all yellow, Indian Peafowl (peacock stylee) are yellow fronts and beige or brown heads and backs.

Just found this link, gives the colours of chicks, any help?

WOW!! Thanks pekinout, what a fabulous site Very Happy I especially love the white peacock with the blue chest, absolutely stunning!!

I'm not sure, he said that the hen had hatched a white chick out, but she had wandered off and lost it Crying or Very sad I assumed they were blues but I suppose they could be carrying the white gene. The chick is yellow but the ends of its wing feathers are a sort of deeper yellow colour, more a sort of pale amber. I know my yellow turkey poults turned blue so its anyones guess!!

We had peacocks for a while and hatched a few broods, but the chicks were all beige/brown. They were Indian Peafowl. We got shot of them after a little while cos they're such noisey devils. Rolling Eyes I think they're as bad as gleenies (guinea fowl) for making a racket.

Hi, i have peacocks and i would think it is a black shouldered chick as they hatch yellow and as they mature the hens stay light (they are sort of white with black/grey marking down there back and wings, the cocks turn very dark (darker the the indian blues and are stunning) here is a link with some pics.
