|
|
Hi guys
Got my Hovabator going today and the bator seems to be fine. However the automatic turner seems not to be working. I can hear the motor trying to turn, and it's getting very hot to the touch. It seems to be trying to turn the cradles but in the wrong direction.....
I've set it up outside the bator, but I'm not sure how quickly it should turn, i.e. should I see a difference within an hour, or is is more like 4 hours? The bator is running very warm with it inside, probably because the motor is generating a lot of heat.
Does anyone have one of these and if so can you help?
All advice appreciated - total newbie to incubating, first time! Thanks |

I dont use automatic turners, and I use Hovabators. Is the turner fitted together exactly as stated in the instructions?
It won't turn the cradles fast, only very slightly one way then the other within an hour or just under. |

| I've got a turner - it does work very slowly, are all the legs on the cradles fitted into the right slots? there are some slots really close together and I think they have to be in the right ones. |

I'll try moving the cradles into other slots. I've done all according to the instructions. I left it on overnight and it was in the same position this morning, I hope the motor hasn't burned out.
In the meantime, I've put the eggs in the bator and marked them so I can hand turn them. Today is day one!!! |
