I RECENTLY PURCHASED A TREADLE FEEDER FOR MY HENS BUT THEY DON'T SEEM TO WANT TO USE IT. I HAVE TRIED PUTTING GRAIN ON THE PLATFORM AND INTRODUCING THEM TO IT BY PLACING THEM ON THE PLATFORM. I HAVE EVEN OPENED THE FEEDER TO TRY TO ENCOURAGE THEM BUT THEY DON'T WANT TO KNOW.
PLEASE HELP. |

| How long is recently? My inclination would be to let them get hungry. Maybe cut their feeds down from 2 a day to one and they will find out how to do it through desperation. When one gets the hang of it the others will quickly follow. |

| My calls all have treadle feeders and get on really well with them. I sprinkle feed on the treadle, it doesn't take them long to work out how it works, sometimes I put a brick on them so they can see whats inside |
