I have a ark with a 6ft run in the garden. Is it ok to put a more solid slab base down instead of the grass(which am running out of). Dont want my girls to be hard done to.....cheers

I've got a run on a solid base at the moment due to foxes - I've got chopped straw down on there and they seem to be quite happy scratching around in it - not a thick layer but enough to soak up some poop so they don't get it all stuck to their feet and for them to have some enrichment during the times they're locked in. I also feed them random bits of greens hung up for them to peck at for interest too.
