Does anyone know whether fresh pineapple trimmings can harm chickens? I just prepared one and it seems such a shame to get rid of all of those juicy trimmings to the compost heap somehow, if they could enjoy pecking them to bits! LoL

| I tried putting pineapple on my compost heap and a year on it was still the same - no rotting at all, I think it might be too acidic for that! |

Melon seeds do take some time, better if you can chop them up a bit so that the outer skin/coating is cut/damaged if possible. Better to chop everything up if you can. My worms love pineapple too.
