| Ive never had a need personaly to see to my hens crests as they all ways appear in such good condition, but what kind of things can you do to ensure the crests remains in good shape? Ive read in some books that they sujest that crests should be treated because they are prone to mites, how might I prevent such things? |

Hi Phill,
I've only got one Poland and she's nearly four now. I don't treat her any differently to the others (well, other - had a bit of a tragedy recently) and her crest looks in very good condition. She's a tough old girl, nosey and friendly, and lays like a good 'un.
Good luck with your chooks.
