Hi everyone
I have 5 chickens and have had them about 8 weeks. One a Rhode Island Red hybrid has just decided to start pulling the feathers from two of my Miss Pepperpots. It is quite vicious and one of the MP has started to become quite withdrawn as well as losing a few feathers.
Has anyone else experienced this and are is there anything that I can do to stop this have heard that there are some sprays on the net. Has anyone tried them? |

| You can get a purple spray for feather pecking (not sure what it's called) but I have used the spray for sheep feet that i always have around - I think it has to be purple to stop the pecking. |

| You could always fit a beak bit on the hen who is pecking - she won't be able to pull any feathers out then. |

| Can be black spray too - in fact if the hen were white, I would reckon that a white spray would do too. Anything to cover up the red. If the area that's being pecked is on the chicken's back as is often the case, then a poultry saddle is very effective. |
