I love flowers in the house and grow quite a lot in my veg garden, but I'm not a flower arranger as such, more a pick a big bunch, get a big vase and chuck them in sort of an arranger. The style seems to suit our ramshakle life Laughing
So when it says in the books about conditioning, like leaving the flowers up to their necks in water, or putting the ends in boiling water, do you have to cut to length first or can you cut after doing all these things, which would mean cutting off the bit you have just stuck in the boiling water. Confused
I dont want to make them last 2weeks just to look their best untill i pick another lot Very Happy

I only ever cut sweetpeas for the house the easiest way to arrange them is in small bundles of a dozen or so with an elastic band !
