Are yours Salmon?....I really want a cuckoo fav, but it's a nightmare to source.

Yeh! mine are at the top of this page and half way down page one, Or rather not mine now as I've just dropped them off to Andy Kerr to travel them up to Dorinda. So they're hers now Razz

I would say it wouldn't be that difficult to make cuckoo or barred Favvies. Using a barred coq bird most things on the Fav are dominant white skin beard fifth toe. Though it would then be selective breeding of the F1's the following year. Then a few years to perfect it. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Wink

A few years to perfect, eh?? Wink and obviously lots of birds too. Laughing I like the sound of that!

Yours...or the french woman's now....are lovely. Has she taken the cock also? or just the girls?

They're in for a big surprise with the weather here in Scotland - it's FREEEEZING today!! My girls were shivering!! Very Happy

We are relatively new to Favs and bought a trio in the summer. Unfortunately one of the hens died whilst we were on holiday and someone else was here housesitting Crying or Very sad . Fortunately though we managed to put some eggs in the incubator before they/she stopped laying and hatched out 8 - 4 girls and 4 boys. Again unfortunately due to one thing and another we have only 2 coqs and 1 hen left now and I am now guarding them with my life!

I would love some fertile eggs when the season starts again if anyone can supply as I am totally in love with this breed. They are so friendly and will always come to say hi and have a little pet - what do I sound like Embarassed
