oh no, got a temporary obsession - crocheting a shopping bag! Shirlz aka Henny Penny has started up a 'crochet a shopping bag' on NEEPS.... there's supposed to be a prize but she won't say what! |

I made a lot of fantastic shopping bags from...........cut up tesco bags! all you need to do is lay the bag flat, cut off the top handles and the bottom and then keeping the bag flat cut it into strips ( they are circles as you dont cut the sides of the bag) then you loop them together with a half hitch and wind into a big ol ball! I also made myself a rather nifty peg bag and used binliners for the handles! use a very large hook but be aware as it makes your thumb abit sore! [url= ][ |

I have seen ponchos and jackets made from recycled plastic bags too, look fab - a bit like felt - no idea how they do it though!
