it is a serous situation, ls
it cost me at least 700 pounds
and if goats do not give birth this year
it may make them infertile ,it does happen ,if they miss over 2 years
the billy may be setrile so having to be destroyed ,
and no milk for 2 years ,thus having to buy milk
i feel sorry for the billy's owner
but i will not say for definatly till 5 months time
as i would hate to sully anyone's name ,which it might, till i know for sure it is his billy's fault and bring in my new boy ,i've nearly finished his shed and run plus reinforcing the fencing ,as i need to keep him seperate and will not teather him so a bit more work and i'm ready
it is difficult sometimes to know if goats are pregnent as you increase feed slowly and as they have slab sides ,and it means if they are well feed and content, if only one or 2 kids are there depending on breed it can almost impossible to tell till right at the end
