Rabbit in freezer actually as OH has manflu and is off his food, (not really flu, just bad cold but off his food anyway.) Daughter off any kind of meat since we culled cockerel at weekend, 2 sons not eaten meat for several years hence need for eggs and lots of them ...

TLWR your job sounds fab, we love wild camping but always take food! (cooked on open fire though)

Don't manage to do it all the time, I am a youth worker, centre based mainly, but do get to go out and about with groups a couple of times a year.

Love the outdoor stuff.

Do you provide the rabbit TLWR, or do the kids have to catch one themselves?

We were overrun with rabbits this time last year, but myxy has almost wiped them out now, but they'll be back Laughing

Rabbits provided fresh and have to be gutted and skinned. Would maybe not be ethical to let the young people trap, as they may cause more suffering than necessary.

Also sometimes provide a barrel of fish!

have you tried cooking in a fire pit Ray Mears style? we have done it with venison, really good. had to tie the dog up though as she kept trying to dig it up!

He sits there with a bowl of stuff that looks as if its dropped from the back end of something saying' This is going to be really delicious'. Makes you wonder what he eats the rest of the time. Laughing

But I do think hes great Very Happy

Always really convenient though........

Looking for some soft ground........there it is at his feet!
Looking for a cleft stick.......right in front of the camera!

We spend hours walking around for the stuff he so conveniently finds! Embarassed

Very good though, get a lot from his books and shows.

he just has a mature shape like me..........just i an more nature............p.s. my rabbit recipe is super for hare too just add half teaspoon lemon juice and a little more ground pepper

update on the bunny lunch, we ate it last night and it was really tasty. different to what I expected, more gamey. OH cooked it as I was at work and didn't put in any apple which would have been really good. thanks everyone Very Happy
