The other night I went out to water the pots and nearly jumped out of my skin when I saw small thing curled up on the floor. Birds are not supposed to be in that bit, not my birds anyway, and this was a pigeon. It got a bit of a water squirt but didn't move, so I thought it was hurt. It let me pick it up and I took it to him, only to be told it was a wood pigeon (well how was I to know?) Any way he said he would put it in a cage for a couple of days and then let it go when it had recovered, poor thing must have flown too far and got puffed out. But now I know how to tell a wood pigeon from one of his!
