wow do i feel better
it only takes something small
some of you might remember that in may i got asked to take the goats and give a talk on goats and the way the milk is used and looking after them properly ect
i was really nervous about it ,and wondered how the children would react ,not to meantion how my goats would behave
we have just had the feed back
don't know wether it's because i don't have that much to do with children but i have this unfailing belief that children are interested
the main thing that was pionted out that was wrong ,was that they wanted more time over 2 days not 1 and wanted to auction more teachers
we first auctioned ,2 sheep after wieghing and then as a comparison auction 2 teachers by wieght the children loved
bidding on their teachers ,
542 pupils came and 60 teachers ,there where lots of bifferent animals .cattle ,goats ,sheep ,pigs and piglets, turkeys ,ducks,
chickens, quail there was also composting and growing things ect and a 15 minute talk given by each person
other complant was that and i quote
"some animals where very noisy mainly the poultry ,but you can hardly gag them ---can you " there was a goose there that several people wanted to put in the pot ,i think deb is going to put lots of pics on for me as they sent me a cd rom and the laptop doesn't do cd,so hopefully deb might have time latter today
the children all went back to school and over the next few weeks did cooking ,and projects on farming and crofting and the envoriment and it was free to all schools |
