yesterday i brought a half share in a billy ,
we thought we were going to have to leave the breeding of old english goats ,much to our sadness as it was impossible to get a billy ,but last week both i and a chap from back were told of a billy ,it has been agreed that as getting a billy was proving to be a night mare then we would share one ,his name is shandy ,
poor boy was terrified as he'd never been outside as the people that owned him are organic and they have lost a lot of stock to ticks and liver fluke ,he is lovely they breed a lovely boy

yep,he's going to be rented out ,in the breeding season to help earn his keep ,i've got one at the moment hamish is here ,but it means the kids are going to be x breeds ,
and to jan i've just had some great news ,the new croft i rent i've been carefull with only putting a few sheep on there,and you have probably read that i've ordered the first heifer from a chap at tolsta ,when his cow calves ,keep your fingers xed if a heifer next year
well down on the croft it's about a mile away i've just got my few sheep ,spoke to the lady that owns it and she said today ,your sheep are stuggling with the grass how about a couple of ponies ,so i asked her how would you feel about a shetland cow going there when she was dry ,and the answer was ,you've got full use of both crofts ,so with the shetland it looks like it's going to be highland as well ,she also said pigs you need pigs ,and if you want to grow stuff as well ,that's fine

no don't say it in a really strong cornish accent
we used to stay at a second or something uncles farm ,just outside of falmouth ,couldn't understand a word the old farmer used to say just used to nod ,
thanks it's all a bit scary ,i've wanted a shetland for years
and it seems a highland would fit in well
and the prices they are asking up here ,i'd be silly not to have some great highland beef

,i put in for 3 nights a week ,so i can work on the crofts in the daylight hours ,they are discussing it ,i hope i get it ,i might not as i put forward the idea and i think they want me to stay on in the daytimes Rolling Eyes

it'll give me more time with the livestock Very Happy

carn't i'm afraid ,the old computer died and somebody gave me an old laptop ,which i'm on now
i'll try and sort something ,he is chocalate,and he has a shaggy coat ,which is ideal for keeping out the weather ,he's staying at the blokes croft for a while
i do have hamish here at the moment

this is hamish ,he is a golden gurnsey(sp)
