I have just gone out to put my chickens away for the night and have discovered one dead with its insides hanging out. At first I thought that it had been attacked by a fox but on close examination decided that this was not the case. I know that nothing can be done for 'Blossom' but would like to know what the problem was as I have others of the same age ( 15mths old)
Ant information greatly appreciated |

Sorry to hear of your sad news.
When you say her insides were hanging out - where from? Was there a wound? |

That's what I was thinking - why I asked about a wound. |

| Sorry to hear about Blossom ~ had she just come back into lay? Or maybe only just started laying? |
