| My early potatoes are only out of the ground 6-8inches but have got flower heads showing. Should I pick these off? |

Jan, have you been building up the earth around them for a while?
I have only grown potatoes once, didn't knock the flowers off and I was happy with the result. Cannot remember or say whether it was a bumper crop?
Looking forward to seeing how my dustbin ones are  |

| I've never taken the flowers off potatoes. Don't think I've ever heard of it being recommended. I'd just enjoy them where they are - I think some are quite pretty... |

| ITs only that the plants are still so small. I think they've only been in 6 weeks. I've never had them start flowering so early. |

Sometimes plants flower early if they are too dry or hungry...
If thats not it I'd leave them to it |
