UCJ and myself went a bit mental on Ebay hatching eggs last night... We've ended up with 6 Buff orps, 6 Scots Greys (from island poultry here on Lewis, located close to Debcat's), 6 Cuckoo Scots Dumpys and 6 Blue Orps and an octagon incubator and Suz is hatching out the ones we picked up today from Rachel at Island Poultry plus she'll hatch some of her Light Sussexes too for us... of course we went to Rachel's to only get the Buff orp eggs, but took away not only the scots grays, but also 5 DUCKLINGS (2 Saxonys, 3 Indian Runners)! UCJ is quickly converting the white lorry box as I type to a big chicken house as we've also got 6 pullets coming tomorrow from Skye! way hay!

I would be going daft hatching too if my eggs had turned up! Never mind - contingency plans are under way!

And what do you mean you've gone mental? That implies you weren't before!

A dozen eggs of different breeds to add variety and colour to my egg basket (when they all hatch as hens and get to laying age of course! Wink

) Have welsummer eggs on day 11 in the bator too!

Still waiting for you to come collect them! The puffins are arriving back just now - will be nesting in a few weeks ..........
