i`ve seen these double rabbit hutches with a small run underneath on ebay. Does anyone think there are suitable for bantams? I live in a typical semi with a garden, so haven`t got space for much else. I was thinking i could get a separate run for them or secure the garden and
let them free range when they are not in bed |

we have one of those, the biggest I could find
Jess keeps her trio of pekins in there.
I changed the wire on the house part for wood so the whole of the top is now bed, and attached another run

Did you mean you haven't got room for a bigger house or bigger chooks?
Several of us live in towns or cities with very small gardens, but still manage to squeeze in some large fowl and/or hybrids |

abit of both really, I would like to use the rest of the garden to plant fruit and veg.
My children 12,15 and 18 don`t use the garden anymore (0ff with their friends ).So i want lift the flagstones and have a mini alloment type thingy .
I figured I could get a couple of therse hutches maybe 3 at most and rotate ranging.
These hutches look like they wouldn`t take up too much space and would fit nicely next to each other. How many bantams do you think i could keep in these?
silly question, but i`m new to this could i mix breeds?
i`m waiting for my pekin eggs from ebay.
But me thinks this could be addictive |

Y'don't say???
Many of us have mixed breeds, so that's fine. I also have bantams, though some of the 'mixes' are bigger than expected.
How big is the house you describe? Measurements will help calculate how many you can accomodate. |

| Might be an idea to leave the flagstones where the run is going to go. You could put straw on the floor and it would be easier to keep clean. |
