We have Iron age pigs which are wild boar x tamworth. You need a licence ti keep wild boar in the UK (guess you dont in france?) so these are the closest things we can have on the farm. There is also a deer park 2 miles down the road although they are purely decoration, not for venison. Also where I used to live in kent they bought 6 or 7 bison to make mozzarella but these really were wild an nobody could get anywhere near them, they are very big animals.
Why are you planning on getting something wild Mojo? |

| I read a v interesting article on deer farming and it said that deer were not under the same restrictons as other livestock and could be shot where they stood in the field, which imo is much more humane than a stressful trip to the abbatoir - and apparently their field mates dont bat an eyelid when one of their friends drops dead either! |
