Yes, already expansion of Chickenville is being mentioned. "Why don't we just extend the run - to here maybe?", "Could we keep bantams if we built a run with that old kennel?" Rolling Eyes Laughing

You lot warned me about this equation that syas that chicken population will expand in direct proprtion to the available "garden" Shocked

So... right now the coop is and the run is 100 sq ft and the coop/shed is 80sq ft (ish - I hope I converted right from metres!) and has 5 hens and a rooster, if extended we'd have about 200 sq ft of run - according to the 1sq ft indoors, 2 sq ft outdoors per chook "rule" that'd be more than enough space, right? Also, will 3 bantams hens with a 12ft sq coop and a 24ft sq run be ok space wise?

Oh we are...I knew this would happen Rolling Eyes It'll only get worse now mother has discovered silkies!

Lol, I haven't seen those advertised here yet so I think I'm safe - unfortunately my Poultry lady specilises in Silkies so Mother has easy access to them!


(Ps. Someone poke me with a stick if I start mentioning incubators and hatching)

Oh, I've seen pics - bootiful...maybe a wanted ad would turn something up? *slaps own wrist* Just found polish bantams about 20mins away....oh dear.
