Well they have arrived! Poultry lady was adamant she was only going to sell me trios of 2 hens and one rooster.....my neighbours would love me. Eventually we haggled it down to a rooster and 5 hens on the basis 3 hens would be from the "miscellanous layers" pen. Ok deal done. The other 3? Well I ended up with a pair of Gold Laced Wyandotte hens and a Wyandotte rooster who will be getting sold should he prove to be a persistant crower!
So meet....
Delia - I assume hybrid, hen.
Ruby - Gold Laced Wyandoote, hen.
Roger - Wyandotte, rooster (what's the colour called?)
Hope I did ok in the selection!! |

I agree with Fangs, I don't think you have mixies ~ I think you have pure breeds, light susses, marans and hold laced wyandottes ~ well done on the haggling.
You could put an ad for him in the mart further down the page. |

Lovely flock, well done. Yes marans and Light Sussex, some nice dark eggs form Sooty and Sweep and lighter eggs from Lt Sussex. Gold Laced lay pinky/white eggs and mine used to lay eggs much smaller than you would expect from someone so large |
