On a whim I bought some eggs off ebay. The cockerel is a legbar and the hens are french marans. It will be very interesting to see what colour eggs the resulting pullets lay |

| I think they should lay dark khaki looking eggs too. Be interesting to find out. Hopefully I will not hatch out all cockerels so this time next year I may have news about the egg colour. Will let you know. |

Yes will be interesting, i have a hen that has a legbar dad and maran mum and she lays blues eggs. I have a Frizzle with her at the mo so i am about to put some of them in the incubator so that should be interesting as to what comes out too!

| I have 3 Cream Legbar(M) x Ancona pullets. One lays white eggs and the other two green. This year I have reared a gold Appenzeler pullet with the Cream legbars - logically her offspring should have crests that go straight up. I haven't the heart to put her into the Oddlot pen. |
