Yes, many people feed garlic to their animals. Either crushed in their food, or as powder. Or a fresh, crushed clove in their water. There have been several threads that mention it - here's a couple:
using garlic powder to reduce the smell of bird poop
using garlic as a natural wormer and discussion about the safety of feeding it to dogs
Re Sweetcorn - yep, I understand its better growing it in a group, as its wind pollinated so if they're close together there's a better chance of getting more corn.

OK thanks for the links (again!) Lisa..
OK there is a reason why it's better to grow corn in a group then!
The chooks are currently enjoying Swiss Chard but I'm going to have to rotivate shortly and plant out my Onions so they will have to wait a little for some more...
Still spring is coming (this weekend to be exact!) I can feel it is only around the corner... Mojo has sent us some warmer weather! |
