Hehe, after mum decided she didn't trust dad and I to make a suitable poultry shed, that wouldn't fall down, and actually resembled a shed, we had 1 made. I got to design it! So everythnig I wanted is on it. It is perfect!!

So here it is!

The side with a door, so I can walk into it, to clean it out properly, and count the birds.

One of the smaller sides. This side has a pop hole, and a sliding window (shut in picture) with mesh in it, so there is plenty of ventilaiton during the day.

And the side with the nestboxes. Theres 4, but they are really really long lol! Could have got 6 in actually lol.

Theres also 2 perches inside. Me and dad are gonig to make a covered run attached to the pophole for the birds, so if they have to go in, they can still go outside, so to speak.

do you mind me asking roughly what you paid to get it made? I'm interested cos I'm thinking if everything works out OK when my girls arrive in 2 days (and counting) that I may see about getting a bigger run made for them - so the ark can be put inside it but they're still safely enclosed.

£365 including the paint, delivery and bearers (to raise it off ground). £327 without all that. We had it specially amde by these people who build dog houses, gardensheds, and wendhy houses. had never built a chicken shed before, but obviously they know their stuff!

yep already thinking about how to paint it myself. have a few ideas, but cant design on one percific one, so may merge them together.

naturally was very garteful, had been hankeringh for a new shed for a year lol

Nice shed Fangs at least being red cedar it will last, especially when treated periodically with preservative or paint, not like the rubbish they churn out and sell in the DIY superstores.

well done and hope you have many happy hours using it,I'm sure the girls will love it.
