Flash our Barnevelder bantam has died, aged 5 years. 
She seems to have gone the same way as her sister, Sunshine, who died last November. No real symptoms to speak of, just a few runny poos the last few days.
She was pecking about & eating OK on Tuesday but seemed a bit subdued on Wednesday. As Barnevelders are so laid back they are almost horizontal, I hadn't thought there was anything wrong with her.
I brought her in on Thursday morning when I noticed her on her own & a bit huddled. She did have a pooey bum, so I cleaned her up & kept her in the warm.
She died between 4 - 6am this morning. She will be missed as much as her sister is. |
