Glad he's OK mine used to get the same messy patch on his back until I discovered he was rubbing his back on the gearbox of my Range Rover.

Hmmm, maybe he's been doing that uder a car?? Good hint, thanks. We'll just have to buy some heavy duty clippers to clip him next time.

its quite common actually i work at a boarding cattery from time to time and many customers bring their cats in with what i call a saddle on their back that i always remove with a stripping comb it is usually caused from lying under a tree that has a lot of sap like a conifer its a nightmare to remove but always starts very close to the skin and when its left the area just keeps matting around it which is uncomfortable for the cat some customers are frightened they are going to cut the cats skin so i always mention i removed it for them when they collect their cats and the cats always appreciate it Very Happy I'm glad it was not mange on your cat what a pretty one she is Very Happy

he's a he cat and looking much more comfortable now Very Happy
