Aussie Chick, I'm so happy for you getting your chicks, hope they both turn out to be girls. I was always being encouraged by one of my daughters to pick my girls up to make them friendly.........I didn't listen, it seemed to be a bit unkind to stress them as they didn't want to be picked up. I just used to go out to talk to them everyday for a while, taking a few treats and stroking them. Now they all come to be stroked and let me pick them up. It's just a matter of being kind and gentle with them and giving them time...patience is the name of the game

I still can't get the camera to work so here's one pic taken on my mobile. Its not great but you can get the idea. Am still working on the other pictures.

This is Ethel, she's the smallest and the darkest, I'm pretty sure she's a she, she also lets me pick her up. The other one, Alice may be an Al but time will tell. I'll get a close up later and post it.

Your chicks are really cute. I would have loved to get my as day old.

I'm aborting the attempt at the photo, the clarity is just hopeless from the mobile, I will persevere with the digital camera, strange how its not working. it was working last week.

Carry on with the post, the more info I can read about Marans the happier my girls will be.
