Anyone ever tried making felt? I went to a demo and try evening last night and made a flower for my hair, my 10 year old son made a starfish - we had a ball! Pic to follow if anyone is interested.

| It's a craft - for decorative purposes Knobby. I fyou used natural brown wool you could make a stuffed bourbon biscuit! |

You should have gone in the Army, they teach you how to sew and iron (at least they did when I was there ) |

He was indeed in the army
I was in the Signal's learning all about communications (Army college) so although we did learn how to operate weapons our main thing was learning how to set up lines of communication, understanding telephone systems etc.
It was good fun, but not really for me, so I got out before I had to buy myself out  |

a friend of mine was in the signals, he went to iraq first time round. (came back ok)
now my cousins marrying a bloke who's in the signals
totally useless information, not on topic sorry.
the only time i have seen felting was on river cottage with huge thingy |
