We have some Middle White weaners coming in two weeks - I have always wanted some of them but couldn't (until now) find any close enough to here. So have spent the last two days re-enforcing the pig pen and sorting out the electric fencing for them.  |

| The three coming are for pork with the possibility that if it is as good as it should be we can buy a couple to breed from in the autumn. |

We have - sausage, bacon and crackling like the last lot We only give meat names to the ones we are eating. |

| We find that naming them as meat helps keep the distinction between food and pets for our son and his friends - also if we don't call them something they tend to name then anyway and it is much harder to kill molly then sausage! |
