yesterday I caught and did Mrs Summers with the louse powder just in case . I think I may have rubbed my eye with some of the powder on my hand - My eye is now swollen and sore and I had to bathe it this morning to open it.

It's the only thing I can think of and on the packet it says avoid eyes open wounds etc d'oh! was really dumb of me - won't be doing *that* again in a hurry !

Just a warning for you guys to be careful really

yeah especially as it's it an all natural, suitable for use in organic systems one - probably made me less careful . though if I'd thought about it it must be pretty potent to be able to kil the lice ! Confused

That should be a painful reminder to come indoors and wash your hands after being out with the chickens. Louse powder or not this should be done.
With so many beasties I tnd to wash my hands dozens of times a day. Simple basic hygeine. I cannot afford to be sick.
