Hi to all
I am worried that my chooks are getting enough vitamins in there diet they are between 13 and 15 weeks old. I do not have any grass as I live in a terrace but they have plenty of space. Now they are fed on grower’s pellets with mixed corn and wheat and a couple of mealworms in the morning but they do not any greens like most kids I.e.: sweet corn tinned or on the cob, carrot, lettuce, cabbage, parsley, Is what I’m giving them at the moment enough or is there any thing else.
Thanks bullet |

WOW, what lucky chicks you have,
Basically, all they need is contained within the Growers pellets.
All the rest is treats really, you can try things like yoghurt and muesli, any greens (mine like the leaves from cauliflowers and broccolli)

Ours thought cauliflowers, cabbages etc were sent by aliens to kill chicken kind and ran and hid from them.
Apples, however, they love. As they fall from the trees they are attacked. |

i was looking forward to it for pudding but ,kerri the youngest offered to make it ,and she burn't it ,
mine don't like cauli ,that's the only thing they will not eat .
best way of getting them to eat greens grow from seed water look after them prick out young tender seedlings that you are looking forward to enjoying
they'll be gone in no time ,

Ours dont like broccoli or barley but the turkeys do Chickens just look at it like "what the *****,you can't be serious,I would rather eat old wood shavings covered in chicken poo than that "
They treat tomatoes like space aliens, the turkeys cant get enough though even green ones which was lucky as we had tons of them this year and non were very nice so they ended up as turkey fodder.
Another great for our chickens is bean sprouts when they have soaked and grown nice long roots on them they go potty-its funny watching them play tug o war with them and cold spagetti too.
