Well I have just spent the day popping in and out of the run to see the girls!! You can tell they were loved and well cared for - they are sooo friendly!! My own birds came from homes where they had not been handled at all and so far they they just stopped running in the opposite direction when I enter the run whereas Summayah's girls run towards me (especially if I have a mitt-ful of corn ) and eat out of my hand whilst honey even climbed onto my knee to get first pick!! Summayah had settled the girls into carrying box's for me so it was just like xmas opening each box and seeing what was in each one - and there was no disappointment!! they are ALL sooo gorgeous Thank-You Summayah - I'll love them all!!! I am definitely hooked!!! |

the egg is from cinnamon ~ she came back into lay on thursday after her long period as broody.
you will never forget honey's egg when you see it...I had hoped she might lay today as she didn't on thursday, but the move could have unsettled her a little. you will be stunned when you see how beautiful her eggs are.
I look forward to seeing the pics too ~ as I was always so rubbish at doing it! |

Jakki, Richard and their two boys have been this morning and collected 12 of Summayah's Chickens. Richard has more pics to upload later.
Thought you might like to see a pic of CP and AR!

Summayah, cinnamon layed her 1st late yesterday afternoon (a gorgeous mahogany colour) and a soft shell tonight ?? Perhaps it will take her a few days to settle in to normal laying, especially after the move! All girls are doing well and are so friendly, I may integrate them with my girls for about half an hour before bedtime tomorrow (armed with a few handfuls of corn in case they need a distractions from any tussles!! _ |

| honey's eggs are the deep mahogony ones, they are lovely aren't they? I think the soft shell will be to do with the move, as they take 25hrs to make, I think it would tie in with that. I think although she was top hen here she can get upset fairly easily. Hope she settles down for you. |
