Ok, through the tears...ooops, I mean rain drops, I was unable to make clear sense of it all....

To me it looks like your girls have found homes three times over...

Bless to those who were able to help. I am sooooooooo proud of our members!

yes Deb, the members ~ strike that, I mean my family ~ on here are truly amazing. I have definite homes for all but the pekins and maybe they will find homes tomorrow. I'm so very grateful to everyone for their support ~ I know, I've already said it, but I really mean it each time.
Lots of love to all of you and not just those who are going to take care of my girls

We don't really want to do it summayah. We'd rather you were able to keep them all.

But you know we will love them almost as much as you do. All mine get regular cuddles & are spoilt rotten, so yours won't be treated any different. Wink

I have emailed my friend about the pekins & I will let you know the minute I get a reply. (hopefully a positive one)

I will also contact you soon with arrangements for collecting them. It will have to be a weekend though.

Only just catching up after being away from the forum for a few days, and what an emotional roller coaster this thread is!

Summayah - so sorry to hear you've had to make such a hard and brave decision. And delighted for you that you already have so many offers of homes.

I'm sure once your op is out of the way, and you know what you can and cannot do, you'll be able to work out a way for you to be able keep chickens again. Stay hopeful...

Summayah, my friend says yes to all your Pekins. Very Happy

She has a wonderful place & they will be well looked after. But she can't promise to remember all their names, as she will have more than 100 altogether! Shocked

I have got the worst memory for names Laughing so far all my chicks names end in ie/y - rosie, honey, polly, suki & even rocky (thought it sounded better when you call for them Rolling Eyes)
have sat most of tonight sketching how my shed/new house will be incorporated into the run (so far i thought of a sort of 'link' corridor/covered run area between the existing ark and the garden shed/new house) - very exciting!! Very Happy

Chicken Palace that is excellent news, thank you. I wouldn't expect anyone to remember the names of my little group, when they are going to be running so many girls together.
Sounds exciting HeatherBB, you must put pictures up once you have it done.

A big big big thank you to everyone. I have now been offered homes for all of my girls, I am soooo very grateful not just for that, but for all the kindness that everyone has shown me during these past few days. There we go again, it must be raining outside again.

just an update for anyone interested. My first 2 girls have now gone to live with LisaLou. I 'chickened' out of taking them, my son in law and some of his brood went with them ~ one being the one who is good with my girls ~ he helped me to get them boxed this morning.
I hope you enjoy having them LisaLou and thank you for everything.
Jooles if you read this can you pick up your pm please.

Thank you for letting me have them, I feel very privileged.

I'll post some photo's whenever you tell me you're ready.

Hi Summaya,
Just read the your sad news I wish I could home a couple for you, but as you might know I'm having a few problems at the moment. Good luck with your op, don't worry you'll be fit again in no time and can start your brood again, maybe with some chicks from your fostered girls! Keep in touch with us and wishing you a speedy recovery.
