So, what is another 3...just take the whole bunch so that they can stay together....
Wouldn't want to split up a family, now would you?

You can be as greedy as you want...and I am sure she would appreciate the fact that they all get to stay together.

Could that be a Vorwerk by any chance? If so they are very pretty. I had the bantam version, sadly no longer with us.
Don't think I have a picture of them - they were pre-my digital camera, but I do have one of a crossbreed which looks very much like them. I will try to find it & put it in my gallery.
OK, found it:-
The pure Vorwerk is much brighter coloured than this cross, but this gives you a general idea. |

This is one of the Vorwerks we saw at the Wernlas Collection earlier on this year - I think they're fantastic. IIRC they lay a white egg

Aw yes please take the others to keep the family together
The Vorveck is very small - called frenchie because the way she walks she looks like she needs a little handbag and she can go shopping. She's very shy unlike the others
And that only leaves Red & Lisa who are the cheeky chaps of the bunch (red will jump up and pinch any food before you are ready to give it to them)
Will take some photos and send them over
If you take them will you send me photos to let me know how they are getting on?
I know what you mean about getting attached to them - all my non-chicken keeping friends say things like "just wring their necks!" but I couldn't!!!! We've only done that to one - a right bully of a cockerel (Molly had to go to the hospital for stitches because he'd pecked her so much)... anyway we couldn't do that so had to take him to someone to do it for us - was horrible!!!!

OOh... I'm only in Berkhamsted and I've been looking to expand my 'flock' (of two!) I've probably got room for another two if there are any of your girls left.
Can you let me know who is left if Deb hasn't decided to take them all?
Are you getting rid of any other chicken related kit too? I have a smallish coop and run and I was thinking of expanding my run a bit anyway.
I also decided this weekend that I would quite like a smaller movable house so I can move the girls into our brick built shed over-night if I ever need to.
I'm sorry you have to get rid of your girls, it must be really hard

Hi
You are very near so if Debs2 doesn't want them all then I can drop 2 / 3 round
I don't think deb2 wanted (how could she not!) Elvis the poland, Red the Rhode Island Red and another one but I can't think which one now
We do have a coop we don't need now (I'm putting the broody coop into storage so we can get some when we get back!) - its like a mini garden shed - we put wheels on it so we could wheel it round the garden. I think its meant to take up to 20 birds but they'd be squashed in like sardines!! I would put maximum of 10 in it. We don't use it as we bought a garden shed and attached a permanent run to it
If you send me your e-mail I can send you pics of it
