..we've got names for all our hens now. Had to wait ages for Tony to decide on a name Rolling Eyes and I thought I was bad!

Anyway, Jasmine's is called Fefe (she wants to spell it like that - it's pronounced Fifi), Alex is Tupac Shocked (Jasmine has altered it to Tupisia. It may be some time before we get any eggs from her as she could be somewhat confused, poor thing). Mine is Rosie (nice and straightforward Very Happy ) and Tony's is Vanessa (Nessie for short).

So there you go. Am unbelievable amount of thought and deliberation went into that Rolling Eyes

Aaah Nanny, you've got a Rosie too Very Happy

Hmmm... Knobby, not very imaginative. Next time you have a chicken needing a name perhaps you should ask on here for some suggestions Rolling Eyes Razz

Nice names Razz

I started out with Rolling Eyes

Buffy (the vampire slayer)
Willow (Buffy's witchy side kick)
Lara (Croft) and
Jinx (Hale Berry in James Bond) who became Ninja chicken because she'd fly through the air to beat the others up Shocked

Only Buffy survives Sad .... (fat lot of good it did naming them after strong women then!)

Our two new hybrids this spring became Tilly (short for Attilla the Hen, because she is!!) and Ginger (because..... well..... she is! Imagination had run out by by the time I got to Ginger Laughing )

Our two newest chickens (only been here a few weeks) are Bisto the brave (because she sits on the fence and looks at Ellie the GSD) and pretty little Paxo. The names seemed funny at the time and, well, .... they've stuck! Can't rename then now Rolling Eyes

Nearly came home with Freckles and Fudge today (2 Amber Stars). How sad is that to have names *before* the chooks Embarassed But some chickens in another pen looked like they had rather snotty noses and one had bubbles coming out of their nostrils Shocked . We left PDQ instead!! Shocked

Just better add, the poorly chickens were NOT at Thornes before Jooles has a heart attack!!

Phew! LOL!

Everyone has such lovely names - even Bisto and Paxo!

Not sure about The Freak though Debcat - that's a bit worrying!

The freak is my daughters black silkie.
She called her the freak as she was convinced she didn't have any eyes Shocked
She only realised a couple of weeks ago when the rain flattened the feathers. Rolling Eyes

But the boys with no names will have no feathers nor nothing soon, so it's best not to name them. Okay then, just for you:

Kentucky Fried Laughing
