Hello everyone, just to let you all know that there is a new vegatable-growing magazine out called 'Grow your Own' which features chicken keeping too. Pretty basic stuff but still a joy to read and look at the pictures!!

Kitchen Garden Mag thumbright

That was the first one I subscribed to. Got really hooked on Sue's column from Wernlas. That's what helped build my initial enthusiasm for chickens and that's where we got our first chickens from Very Happy We found them really helpful.

Will keep an eye out for the other mag too!

Mojo

I don't know if this will help, but you can subscribe online to Kitchen Garden. If you can't subscribe online PM your address and I'll send you the June edition (due out first week in May) to see if Mrs Mojo likes it.

They also have a forum too, it's a little slow but very helpful

Here you go Mojo: all the links you might want...

As far as I know PP is the only one on general sale about Poultry.

I think Fancy Fowl is subcription only - ie you can't just go and buy a copy in a newagents...

Fancy Fowl link here

Country Smallholding magazine covers all sorts of livestock, but, IIRC now has a large poultry feature each month, including Q&As for with their vet - this change was probably in response to the success of PP. I usually see what it covers each month and buy a copy if its of enough interest to me.

Country Smallholding website here

Don't know much about Smallholder as I don't think it is in my local WHSmiths...

Smallholder website here

I also subscribe to Kitchen Garden Magazine. It always has a feature from Sue Hammond from The Wernlas Collection

The Kitchen Garden Mag website here

Hey - all of you not in the UK - are there any Poultry Mags in your countries??

Lis

PS okay, just realised that will be more useful from English speaking countries as my french isn't very good Mojo!! Laughing
