Well my Cream Legbar is as noisy as a cockerel and gets into everything
She's very lovely, but I'm glad I've only got the one! |

| It'd be nice to see some pictures of other people's cream legbars. I'm really glad I chose to specialise in this breed now - great looks and personality. Just waiting for my first egg now! She's 26/27 weeks' old now and not a thing from her yet. |

| First I got snitty about Cotswoldlegbars and I am now getting snitty about this theory that there are two types of Cream Legbar. The autosexing Cream Legbar is a crested bird - no crest, not a Cream Legbar. It's as simple as that. Gold and Silver Legbars are crestless - and lay white or cream eggs. Cream Legbars can lay Blue, Green or Olive eggs. Now I know why I keep a copy of British Poultry Standards beside the machine. |

OKay, bearing in mind I have fostered out my chicks for the moment...haing looked again this morning...the dark chick has prominent pale spot on head, and the lighter chick doesnt'.
Either I have completely misunderstood, but dark is Dame...yet, is headspot male????

Hi I was just wondering if anyone can advise about mixing cream legbars in the same coop with marans.... I am just about to get 8 marans and 4 legbars and assume that is ok as long as they are same stage? (will be 12 weeks) Any tips?
Thanks |

If they are all young you'll be fine,
it's harder to integrate one or two when they are older and you already have an established flock |
