Thank you for posting the photos Tommy, they are lovely looking birds.
Looking at the tail on the bird in the top photo is it a cockerel? |

Hello
There is my old cock breeders who are on the photo at the top, it is one of his sons on the image of speech and he will be just as good as his father.
I recently exhibited this weekend and got good points in all the animals I had the sign.
in denmark, we have rating points and 100 points is the best I had 17 animals on display inside and got less than 94 points, the best got 97 points, it can be seen on my website under my silk fowl.

| It sounds as though the brown one is a cross breed or a throw back. Can you show us a picture of her? I think when the brown colour was developed it would have benn done by breeding a basic white silkie with a brown chicken such as a Rhode Island. You may have a chicken with more of the hard feather gene than it should have. Or, it is just a cross breed between a silkie and a ? |

I think it is an intersection you have in the brown, brown silk I breed chickens and these can be bred with the white, I have my white against the brown.
Silk hens must be fluffy.
